In a career spanning 20+ years and three continents, Gary Kelly has had the distinct privilege of working on award winning projects throughout Europe, North America, and Asia; on a wide range of project types including Single and Multifamily residential, Retail, Hospitality, Justice, First class airline lounges, Telecom, Financial services, High-rises, Corporate campuses, C-Suite executive offices, and a Sports arena.

The son of a master craftsman, his passion for excellence in design and construction started at an early age and lead him to work at some of the world’s most prestigious Architectural and Design firms including HOK and Goudie Design Associates. He has held senior management positions within one of Americas leading financial institutions overseeing work associated with the design and construction of their global real estate network. He is an experianced construction estimator for custom residences, and is considered a leading authority on CAD (Computer Aided Design), CAFM (Computer Aided Facilities Management), and BIM (Building Information Modeling).

Gary holds an undergraduate degree with honors in Architecture from Queens University Belfast, Ireland, and post graduate degrees in both Architecture and Urban Design from Oxford Brooks University, England. His studies included a year at the world-renowned Washington-Alexandria consortium, USA, studying contemporary design and several months in Verona and Vicenza, Italy, studying classical architecture.

He holds professional qualifications Part 1 & 2 with the Royal Institute of British Architects, and is a licensed architect in the State of California. He is also an active member of the American Institute of Architects, the International Institute of Interior Designers, and the Construction Specification Institute.

Gary has a wide range of experience between working in bespoke residential architecture in Ireland, New York, and San Francisco and also working in construction management in both New York and San Francisco on various commercial high rise buildings. His knowledge and expertise in both sectors gives him a real edge on understanding the whole construction process of the procurement of large projects looking at the projects from a designer and management perspective. Having a keen eye for design and detail and how to successfully deliver projects on time and with high end quality.

He holds an undergraduate degree with honors in Architecture from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom and post graduate degrees in Architecture from the Waterford Institute of Technology, Ireland and Sustainable Design from Queens University Belfast, United Kingdom, specializing in environmental design strategies in the build environment.

Prior to joining GKA, Gary had worked with CraftStudio Architect in Monaghan, Ireland, David Mansfield Architecture in New York, and Webcor in San Francisco, California.
